The Client:
As a current client of Active Webdezign first4figures entrusted me with designing the 3rd version of their website (in 5 years). Gladly this time they decided to go all out and put all the bells and whistle’s on their ecommerce site.
The Challenge:
All previous websites were designed by in-house designers, unfortunately as many “web” designers know; designing for print and web are 2 very different things. So with the old versions there were always slight hick-ups. That the production then was outsourced to keep costs down even more speaks for itself.
To get a functioning design with a usable interface for a shopping cart is always fun, especially when you get 2 gigs of artwork to use from companies like Nintento, Black Horse Comics and 2000AD. As a new user to iconbuffet I also decided to use some of those sets for the first time.
The Result:
With an arsenal of graphics, a sketched out wireframe, technical and creative brief at hand I set out to create the design, click the image on top to see the results.
