One of my best friends and old classmates Johan Bävman won second price in the prestigeous World Press Photo Award for series photography.

His in depth report on the atrocious way albinos are treated in Tanzania, slaughtered because of ancient superstition (keeping a severed limb from an albino in your house supposedly brings your family luck and fortune) while living under some of the worst possible climate conditions for people with albinism.

Another group of clients wanted an online commerce site to sell online, they deal in imported high end products from Europe.

Caribbean Unpackaged was a current client with a successful website developed by webdezign almost 5 years ago. They approached us with the intention of optimising their website and updating the bespoke CMS. In the end it was decided that a re-build would be the most cost effective solution.

As one of Active Webdezigns first Branding Jobs 8 years ago Anoushka G has always been a revenue of great recommendations. We have worked closely with the owners as they have grown their Haute Couture line into a worldwide brand. So big so, that they recently got bought by Mosaic Fashions. The owners of brands such as Karen Millen, The Shoe Studio, Coast and Oasis.

I was reading this tutorial on using only layer styles to manipulate text in Photoshop. It was a great read and some of the examples were really cool. After seeing the response off so many people I thought that I would share some as well. The first in this series is a Florida chrome style. I hope you enjoy it and that you might be able use it in one of your designs.

Christopher McVey asked how to Create a Color Visualizer on linkedin and while I was looking trough the answers from friendly people I saw someone suggesting he buy a flash template from flashden. Sitting there changing the colour of the car I suddenly remembered I had done something similar a few years back.

Yesterday we launched 2 micro pages for Black Camel Productions new movie Outpost. One for the Trailer and the other for a never before seen “The making of Outpost”. I only created a few images and the layout for the 2 pages, a small quick job but the result is eeire.
